.NAME Domain Names

Established in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level domain extension is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed third-level domain names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can reserve your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer code from the current registrar company and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no particular terms on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
